Arisaema consanguineum—Cobra Lily Seeds

Here in the PNW these are great woodland plants and they're grown for their foliage as much as for their elegant flowers.

In order to keep these happy where they're hardy they've need rich soil that drains very well. If they're planted in clay soil or somewhere with poor drainage the bulbs will definitely rot. If you'd like to grow these in large containers that will work too but they'll need to be deep. This is a good way to keep them in the correct kind of soil conditions they need too.

After their showy blooms in late spring and early summer, you may get some additional bling with a large bright-orange to red seed pod in the fall.

(An extra thanks to my friend Bridget for the images. She's a great grower of many of the fine and unusual bulbs.)

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are fairly easy to germinate but seed sowing experience is helpful. (about 25 seeds) All part of these plants are poisonous.
