Cercis occidentalis—Western Redbud Tree Seeds

This western species redbud is one of my favorite small ornamental trees. It has year-round interest: spring blooms, lovely heart-shaped leaves in the summer, fall foliage color, and branches that silver with age.

Best of all, if you enjoy the floral design arts, as I do, you'll find much pleasure in forcing the branches to bloom indoors for you during the wintertime.

I'd choose this for any small garden design. It fits into small space and will really delight you. Once established, it will also need little water. That's a plus if you live in a drought area.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. They will need to be stratified, and this may be a little bit difficult, but with some practice and patience, you should have success. (about 12 seeds)
