The plant has texture too. It is elegant and graceful and those flowers have a soft fuzzy glow to them in just the right light. Add these to the back of a border and they will reward you with more. They are perennial but they'll reseed too.
These plants will become drought tolerant as their taproots grow. Each year they can be cut back and the plants will come back. In colder climates the roots may need to be mulched heavily though to protect their taproots. It's not good for them to freeze hard.
