If you want to add some drama to your garden this is the plant for you. Its large leaves will give a tropical feel to your space and it can get big during the span of one season. Here where I live in Portland it's frequently added to landscapes and does an impressive job working as an annual in this climate.

This plant is not a true bean, so don't include it in an edible garden. It's actually a member of the spurge family, like euphorbia, and all parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested. This is where it's important to add that castor bean plants do well in planters too. Just be sure that the planter is large.

In addition to its leaves, the seed heads on castor bean plants are attractive too. If you're into round spiky balls!

This plant can be a tender perennial in warmer parts of the country.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to germinate and grow. (about 15 seeds)
